15 Day Cairo to Cairo Tour – From £369 per person – No Local Payment
This fantastic 15 day tour starts and finishes in the vibrant city of Cairo, and we visit the famous Pyramids and Egyptian museum while we are in the Capital. We then catch an overnight train to Aswan, see the dam and catch a boat to Philae Temple. We visit Abu Simbel (optional) before the highlight of the trip, a 2 night cruise down the Nile on a traditional Felucca. We then visit Luxor and the Valley of the Kings, and then spend some days relaxing in the beautiful red sea resort of Dahab before we return to Cairo.

Day One (Saturday) – Arrive Cairo
Our local representatives will meet you at Cairo airport and transfer you to our central Cairo hotel. The rest of the day is free until you meet in reception of hotel at 6pm for “pre departure meeting” led by your local Pillow tour leader. After the meeting you are free to explore or you can relax at the hotel.
Day Two (Sunday) – CAIRO TO ASWAN (B)
After breakfast in the hotel (included) we will visit the famous pyramids and lion-headed sphinx of Giza. We then visit the Step Pyramid at Sakkara. Tonight we board the overnight train to Aswan (1st class recliner seats).
Day Three (Monday) – ASWAN (No meals)
We arrive in Aswan around 10am and check into our hotel and freshen up. We then visit Philae Temple and the unfinished Obelisk, Aswan Dam and Lake Nasser. This evening is free for you to relax, watch the sunset and maybe do some shopping in the markets or souqs.
Day Four (Tuesday) – FELUCCA CRUISE (B) (L) (D)
After breakfast we board a traditional Felucca for voyage downstream. This romantic and traditional form of Nile transportation is many clients highlight of the whole trip. We watch the sunset and eat a meal prepared by our Felucca crew while floating down the Nile in lovely peace and quiet. Be warned, although the Felucca cruise is lovely, facilities are very limited. You will be sleeping on deck with the other passengers and crew under the stars, so bring a sleeping bag, and toilets and not available so it’s time to find a bush on the riverbank!
Day Five (Wednesday) – FELUCCA CRUISE (B) (L) (D)
Another lovely day floating down the Nile on a traditional Felucca.
Day Six (Thursday) – LUXOR (B)
Watch the sun rise over the Nile from your bed on the deck of the Felucca, and then have a breakfast prepared by our Felucca crew. After breakfast we pull up on the river bank for the last time a jump in a more modern form of transport for the drive to the Temple of Kom Ombo and Edfu Temples. We then drive to Luxor and tour the east bank visiting Karnak temple and Luxor temple.
Day Seven (Friday) – LUXOR to CAIRO (B)
Breakfast at hotel then start to explore the west bank of Luxor, visiting Valley of the Kings. We also visit Memnon Colossi and the Temple of Hatshepsut. Tonight we board the overnight train back to Cairo (1st class recliner seats).
Day Eight (Saturday) – CAIRO No Meals
We arrive back in Cairo mid morning and check into our hotel and freshen up. We then tour Cairo, visiting the Egyptian Museum and the old city, including the Citadel of Saladin, Mohamed Ali Mosque and KhanEl Khalili market.
Day Nine (Sunday) – CAIRO TO DAHAB (B)
After breakfast we drive to Dahab. During the 7 hour journey we will visit the Suez Canal, arriving in the lovely seaside town of Dahab in time for dinner (not included). Free night in Dahab to explore.
Day Ten (Monday) – DAHAB (B)
Free day to relax and enjoy this amazing Red Sea coastal resort, why not visit the Blue Hole?.
Day Eleven (Tuesday) – DAHAB (B)
You can spend another free day relaxing in Dahab, or you can book our one day extension to Petra and visit the amazing lost city (Cost of day trip to Jordan is £185 per person).
Day Twelve (Wednesday) – DAHAB (B)
Full day in Dahab to relax and enjoy this amazing Red Sea costal resort.
Day Thirteen (Thursday) – DAHAB & MOUNT SINAI (B)
Free day in Dahab, and then you join our overnight trip and climb Mt Sinai and visit St Katherine’s Monastery. Around 9pm you will climb the 2,285 meters in the dark. Once on the top you will sleep outdoors under the stars and watch the sunrise. This area is of huge biblical importance as the location God gave Moses the 10 commandments. After your descent we will visit St Katherine’s Monastery and visit the famous burning bush biblical sight.
Day Fourteen (Friday) – DAHAB No Meals
After we have visited St Katherines Monastery we travel back to Cairo and check into our hotel. Tonight is free for you to enjoy and say goodbye to your new friends.
Day Fifteen (Saturday) – CAIRO (B)
After breakfast the tour terminates. You transfer back to the airport is included in the price.
All transport around Egypt including return airport transfers.
All your accommodation, 3 nights in a 4 star Cairo hotel, 1 night in a 3 star Aswan hotel, 2 nights on traditional Nile Felucca, 1 night in a 4 star Luxor hotel, 4 nights in 3 star Dahab hotel and 1 night climbing Mount Sinai and 2 nights on train 1st class recliner seats (upgrade to sleeper cabin for £40 per person one way).

Entrance Fees to museums, temples and other places included on the itinerary. Example of costs are Giza Pyramids / Sphinx GBP£6pp, Egyptian Museum GBP£6pp, Komombo Temple GBP£3pp, Philae Temple GBP£5pp, Karnak Temple £7pp, Valley of the Kings GBP£9pp, Tutankhamun Tomb GBP£10 per person.
If you wish to visit Abu Simbel the cost is around GBP £55 per person (but it’s well worth it!). A balloon flight over the West Bank in Luxor will cost around GBP £75 and the sound and light show at Karnak Temple will cost around GBP £15.
